A must have for people interested on Spanish cuisine

I'm Spanish, from Madrid. And I am a food blogger ([...]). With this, I mean I know what I'm talking about when it comes to Spanish food. When I saw this book and its range of recipes, I decided to give it a chance, since there were some very traditional Spanish recipes I had never cooked before.

The book is packed with very appealing dishes from the diverse traditional cooking from many Spanish regions. Some of those recipes, we take them as "tapas" while enjoying a beer or a glass of wine in a bar, like garlic prawns, spanish omelette, cider chorizo, or ham croquettes. But most of the recipes in this book are traditional dishes eaten at the Spanish homes, cooked by our mothers and grandmothers, and all of them absolutely delicious.

The selection of recipes made by Omar Allibhoy is a winner horse. Anyone interested on our cuisine will have a real chance to learn how to cook it, with clearly written recipes, with simple ingredients in most of cases, and usefull hints to succeed.

I truly recommend this book to you if you want to know our cuisine beyond the paella, the sangria and the spanish omelette (yes, those recipes are also in the book). And I encourage you to try as many recipes as you can, since they are precise and effective (I bought the book twoo weeks ago and I have cooked four recipes so far, all of them acclaimed by my family), and you'll be able to discover a wide range of dishes you did not know and, I'm sure, you'll fall in love with.

Amazing cookbook that works

I have over a 100 cookbooks, sometimes if you are lucky, some of the recipes will be edible and come out without much tweaking.
I cooked about 6 different recipes from this book, everything came out delicious, everything works, not hard to obtain ingredients . I rarely write any reviews, but this cookbook deserves it

very tasty Spanish recipes

Very good recipes with good instruction.

Of note for American cooks - all measurements are metric. Have a conversion table ready.

I'm not 100% sold on the e-book vessel for cook books (this is my first) as it's a little harder to flip through the pages to see if something catches your eye, and it's harder to reference with messy hands (you can't just leave it open like a regular book), but it's certainly usable.

Raymond G. Miltenberger received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1985 from Western Michigan University. He is currently a professor and director of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at the University of South Florida. Behavior Modification Should be Behavioral Analysis

The textbook so far is good but behavior modification these days are now being known as behavioral analysis. The questions on the end of each chapters are very helpful for reviews of chapter as well as a quick quiz at the end of the textbook for each chapter.

The material itself can be hard for understanding but the professors make it worst based on my experience. You are better off reading this book, studying this book and get the same information in a better, detailed way than a professor may.

great book for behavior modification

this book is extremely well written and easy to understand. the examples given in the book aren't abstract, like in some textbooks, and can actually be found in real life. this book is enjoyable to read, which says a lot for a textbook.

The Kindle version of this book that I purchased contains ONLY the first six chapters of the book. There are four chapters in my print version that are not included in the Kindle volume. The missing chapters contain significant materials. Too bad, because this is a helpful resource.

WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR SALVATION, YOU MUST BE ABSOLUTELY SURE

H.A. Ironside has a wonderful way of making things so simple, after all why should it be a great mystery concerning our "Full Assurance" Chapter by chapter you will catch yourself saying things such as "Now I get it" or "Boy, what a relief" and of course "THANK YOU JESUS!" The last section answers some common questions people have asked Dr. Ironside through out his ministry and you just might find one in there that has been on your mind too. This little book is so enlightening I've read it about three times myself, used the illustrations in my own teachings and honestly have given about thirty copies to friends and family. The late Harry Ironside may not preach any new sermons but I'm sure that this classic will revive your soul so that you will say of your own assurance "I am sure!"

best book on assurance ever written

H.A Ironside was traveling evangelist at the turn of the last century, he later went on to pastor the Moody Memorial Church in Chigago (D.L Moody's church). This book is written in the context of his years as an iternerate evangelist. Ironside years of dealing with the doubts of anxious souls, and understanding how the devil attempts to keep people in doubt has resulted in the timeless truths in this book. Truly, Ironside is still reaping reward in heaven for this wonderful little easy read. One day in heaven, I will give him a big hug for this book.

About the Author
Fawwaz Ulaby
Since joining the University of Michigan faculty in 1984, Professor Ulaby has directed numerous interdisciplinary projects aimed at the development of high-resolution satellite radar sensors for mapping Earth's terrestrial environment. He also served as the founding director of the NASA-funded Center for Space Terahertz Technology, whose research was aimed at the development of microelectronic devices and circuits that operate at wavelengths between the infrared and the microwave regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. He then served a seven-year term as the University of Michigan's vice president for research from 1999-2005. Over his academic career, he has published 10 books and supervised more than 100 graduate students.

Professor Ulaby is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and serves on several international scientific boards and commissions. In recognition for his outstanding teaching and distinguished scholarship, he has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards from universities, government agencies, and scientific organizations. Among them are the NASA Achievement Award (1990), the IEEE Millennium Medal (2000), the 2002 William Pecora Award, a joint recognition by NASA and the Department of the Interior, and the Distinguished FEA Alumni Award from the American University of Beirut (2006). In 2006, he was selected by the students in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as "Professor of the Year," and shortly thereafter, he was awarded the Thomas Edison Medal, the oldest medal in the field of electrical and computer engineering in the United States.

Umberto Ravaioli
Professor Ravaioli attended the University of Bologna, Italy, where he obtained degrees in Electronics Engineering and Physics. He conducted his dissertation work on fiber optics and microwaves at the laboratories of the Marconi Foundation in Villa Griffone, the summer estate where Guglielmo Marconi performed his first radio experiments. After developing interests in high speed semiconductor devices and large scale computation, he pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, where he developed Monte Carlo particle simulations for the high electron mobility transistor.

He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1986. He was a co-founder of the National Center for Computational Electronics, which promoted for over a decade the development of large scale device simulation by leveraging resources at national supercomputing centers. His research group has developed Monte Carlo and quantum simulators for a wide range of semiconductor device applications, expanding recent activities to charge transport in biological systems, coupled electro-thermal simulation, and nanoelectronics. He is now the leader of the Computational Multiscale Nanosystems group at the Beckman Institute of the University of Illinois and is also serving as Senior Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the College of Engineering.

Professor Ravaioli is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP). He received the First Place Outstanding Paper Award at the 2007 IEEE International Conference on Electron Information Technology for his recent work on electro-thermal simulation.

This product does not have the same problems as the US edition of the textbook. Plus I do not know if there are any other errors. This to me should be stated somewhere.

Excellent daily meditation book, I have the book and having on my ereader (iPhone) makes it great for travel and times I am moved to mediate when those moments arise on a beach, out on the water, sometimes a park, even a plane.

Great inspirational daily meditation book.

I love this book. There are daily 1-3 page meditations (kindle version) that are inspired from what I call "Ah Ha" moments, (those times where you have new spiritual and mental breakthroughs). Each day gives me a new concept to meditate on. I'm greatful to see others with the same maladies I have, and see the solutions that have worked for them. This book is full of workable solutions. I would hightly recommend you buy this book, read it again and again, and meditate on what others have found so workable. Great job to the editors.

About the Authors
Sheila and Jane have been colleagues and friends for… well, let’s
just say a long time. As English as a Second Language (ESL)
teachers, they worked together on lots of projects… and had lots of
fun as they worked. A partnership was born!
Together, Jane and Sheila have teaching credentials in several
states and two continents. With years and years… and years… of
experience (they just don’t want to count them all, ha!), they have
taught ESL to little kids, big kids, university students, adults, company
executives, and other teachers in the U.S. and Europe (both
online and in regular classroom settings).
Both Sheila and Jane have served as members of the New Jersey
Department of Education Advisory Committee for ESL/Bilingual
Education. They’ve facilitated online ESL training courses for teachers
through the NJ DOE professional development program. Sheila
has held several leadership positions scoring teacher candidate responses
for an international testing company, and Jane has written
ESL test questions and rated English as a Foreign Language exams
for another internationally recognized testing company. (They teach,
they test, they score!)
They have won many awards for excellence in teaching, including
two Teacher of the Year awards, and corporate citations for excellence.
They’ve given numerous presentations and have written curriculum
and syllabi for diverse ESL populations. Add to this some fun
teaching projects in Spanish, public speaking, drama, writing… and,
we’re not kidding, even soccer skills and you’ve got two writers whoknow how to have a good time writing a book!
Jane is now the Director of ESL Services for Emory College of Arts
and Sciences in Atlanta, Georgia. Sheila is a lecturer in the English
Language Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and continues
to teach, write and consult in New Jersey and New York. Although
they live several states away, both are happy to find time to work
together on fun projects… like this book!

Powerful book for ESL students

I received the book ahead of time. This is one if the best ESL books I've bought, the content is easy to understand and well distributed, lectures are interesting, and the most important its a very powerful tool for non ESL students!
